Summary
Result oriented business professional with over 20 years experience in compliance, legal, legislative analysis and strategic implementation and planning in all aspects related to mortgage finance, real estate and land development.
My career began in Ruston, Louisiana during my last years of high school assisting in the research and resolution of complex title issues. I also enjoyed the challenge of a varied set of opportunities from signature loans, auto loans, title clerk, property management and almost three years with partners in small entrepreneurial enterprises. Later I spent over seven years in almost every aspect of mortgage servicing after completing my undergraduate studies in Graphic Design. During school I also freelanced as commercial artist with a portfolio that include some of the top restaurant and clubs in Monroe , Louisiana and spent a couple of years in retail sales, management, and visuals for an upscale department store.
In November 2000 I relocated to Austin, Texas, there I spent time recruiting both permanent and temporary mortgage and real estate staff as a Mortgage Relations Specialist for a small privately held staffing firm. I contracted as a paralegal in a utility law firm. Later I worked with first time homebuyers as a licensed RealtorÒ/Broker. I also originated mortgage loans and counseled buyers regarding the process of their loan application, adverse action, and their current credit standing, to include any credit repair or identity restoration. I became familiar with non-prime lending at this time; that knowledge was perfected during years spent in the legal and compliance departments of several top non-prime lenders.
In June 2004, I also earned the degree of Master of Laws in Law specializing in real and intellectual property law. My broad range of expertise and experience includes the following: Served as member of Privacy Office, Fraud Committee, and as volunteer for Lending Hands. Volunteer work included telethons on National Public Radio and on our local Public Television Station, art acquisitions, openings and docent tours for Masur Museum of Art, annual camp counselor at Med-Camps of Northeast Louisiana. Also coordinated events and promotions for the Humane Society, the National Historic Registry, The American Heart Association and the United Way of Northeast Louisiana. I currently assist my spouse, Coy Jared Glasscock, (Board of Directors) with land use issues and other voluntary research for Southern California Land Rover. From my spouse, I have acquired a vast knowledge of land survey and engineering issues. Coy Jared Glasscock currently holds his California L.S.I.T. designation with over 20 years in land development experience.
I consider myself to be polished, enthusiastic, and action orientated. I have excellent written and oral communication skills, broad-based knowledge in planning and implementing ideas and strategies. I respond positively to almost any challenge and consider myself proficient in most personal computer software as well as literate in hardware installation and design. I assembled and consistently upgrade my current desktop system. I have conducted research regarding privacy issues in a wireless world as well as contributing writer for various trade and travel associations.
